The only scientific test to determine, define and indicate whether a motorcycle boot is waterproof is the test required by the regulations EN 13634.The testing method consists that of the total wetted area inside the footwear shall be not greated than 3 cm2 when tested in accordance with either: - A walk of 100 steps on a suitable platform with water level of 30mm. - A toe-flexing machine test of 80 minutes with water level of 20 mm. above the featherline. - At the successful completiona of either this tests the boot is considered waterproof.
